KRE'S CHILDREN SCHOLARSHIP FUND MISSION:  

To help provide a means of quality education in low to moderate income levels by offering scholarships and by partnering with daycare and elementary schools.  We help, primarily, but not limited to preschoolers and toddlers, who deserve a quality education regardless of their parent's income level.

Message from the Founder:

After thirteen (13) years of reporting and anchoring for several ABC stations, I stepped out on FAITH and in September of 2006, I began my own business – Katina Rankin Enterprises (KRE, LLC). KRE is a consulting/public relations firm.

In November 2006, I began KRE'S Children Scholarship Fund. I was led to start the fund after seeing first-hand here in Durham, NC and in my home state of Mississippi the need for all children to have a quality education. The fund is a progressive not-for-profit organization which offers quality education to low-to-moderate income communities through educational assistance. The goal of the scholarship fund is to enable underprivileged infants, toddlers and preschoolers the opportunity to receive the best education available in their communities. KRE'S Children Scholarship Fund's philosophy is to ensure that all of our communities have access to learning and informative environments filled with knowledge, resources and education. (Knowledge, Resources, and Education equal KRE’S Children Scholarship Fund.)
